FlyJacket Exoskeleton

FlyJacket Exoskeleton
Apr-23-18
The FlyJacket exoskeleton lets users control a flying drone with body gestures.

Designed by a team at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), the system features an exosuit with an embedded inertial measurement unit and arm supports to help prevent the wearer’s outspread, ‘flight-position’ arms from getting tired. The FlyJacket is paired with a set of VR googles, which the team says creates an immersive experience that allows the user to quickly begin to explore the environment.
