Ford Survival Robot Learns the Way Around Factories

Developed by Ford engineers, the Survival robot is so-named due to its ability to adapt to its environment. The robot will note and re-map its route to avoid obstacles in its path, learning the layout of the factory as it travels. According to the team, the robot could free up about forty employee hours daily by delivering parts and welding materials, allowing staff to perform other tasks.
