Full Display Mirror Shows Three Views at Once

Jan-04-20 The innovative Full Display Mirror from Aston Martin shows three different video feeds simultaneously for both rear and side views.

Developed in cooperation with auto parts manufacturer Gentex Corporation, the Full Display Mirror communicates with a pair of cameras embedded in the car’s side mirrors as well as a rearview camera on the roof. The device can display all three feeds simultaneously, and can also be switched off to resume traditional rear view mirror mode.

According to Gentex Chief Technology Officer Neil Boehm, “We believe a hybrid solution is the most practical and comprehensive because it’s engineered to meet automaker, driver, safety and global regulatory requirements."
