Nov-07-18 Furhat Robotics is bringing a new face to AI with their Furhat social robot and its array of lifelike human expressions.

The Furhat social robot was designed to overcome current obstacles in creating a lifelike interface by projecting a humanoid face onto a head-shaped display. A wide-angle camera allows the Furhat system to track the human user in real-time, maintaining eye contact and responding appropriately to visual cues. The Furhat bots are also fully customizable, including the types of expressions, faces (including non-human) and voices used.
