Giant Vacuum Cleans Outside Air

The Dutch startup Envinity Group has created a giant vacuum that will filter and clean outside air.

Being hailed as a world’s first, the prototype vacuum is 26 feet long, and designed to be placed on top of a building, where “it works like a big vacuum cleaner.” The vacuum device can filter up to 800,000 cubic meters of air per hour, removing 95 percent of ultrafine particles and 100 percent of fine particles.

According to Envinity Group spokesman Henk Boersen, the company has already had interest from governments, businesses and airports.
