Goedzak Bag Makes it Easy to Donate

Goedzak Bag Makes it Easy to Donate
Jan-12-13
The Goedzak bag was specifically designed to display curbside donations before they become garbage, which the creators hope will encourage altruistic behavior and reduce the amount of useable goods that end up in landfills.

A combination of the Dutch words for good and bag, sack was developed by Simon Akkaya as part of his “Design for Altruism” graduation project. Except for the bright yellow band emblazoned with the goedzak logo, the bag is transparent, which allows people to see the items inside while still protecting them from the environment.

According to Akkaya, the goal of the goedzak bag is to make it as easy as possible for someone to act altruistically by making donating useful items as easy as taking out the trash.

Great idea.
Not only protects the environment, it also helps those less fortunate than ourselves.
Will suggest this idea to supermarket plastic bag manufacturer in South Africa. This will then give the supermarket bag another use as well.
In South Africa there are however SO MANY scavengers at the rubbish dumps, from where useable items are already being recycled.
