Good Night Lamp Lets Distant Family Know You're Home

Good Night Lamp Lets Distant Family Know You're Home
Nov-20-12
The Good Night Lamp provides a subtle way to tune into the daily lives of friends family, turning off or on remotely to reflect the comings and goings of a loved one.

Developed by Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino, the system features a Big Lamp, which acts as the master, and a set of smaller lamps. The Big Lamp is Wi-Fi enabled and works with a basic computer program to communicate with the smaller lamps, which connect to a Wi-Fi enabled Power House. Turning on the Big Lamp will cause all the smaller lamps to illuminate as well. The lamps are shaped like simpler houses, and can be connected to represent an array of friends and family.

The Good Night Lamp is expected to go on sale in early 2013.
