Guide Autonmous Bar Brings Robot Bartenders to You

Jan-19-19 The Guido driverless bar from Carlo Ratti Associati can be summoned by an app to deliver cocktails on demand.

Developed in conjunction with Coca-Cola, MIT and Bacardi and still in the concept phase, the self-driving Guido would be ‘staffed’ by the Makr Shakr robot, which can create up to 60 different drinks with its dual-armed system. After the Guido bar has arrived on scene, customers can then place and pay for their orders via an app, with ID verified by a scan of their ID.

According to Makr Shakr CEO Emanuele Rossetti, "By matching Makr Shakr's robotic bartenders with the mobility systems of the future researched by CRA [Carlo Ratti Associati], we can put forward a new idea for the experience of leisure."
