HealthSpot Self-Serve Medical Kiosk

HealthSpot Self-Serve Medical Kiosk
Jan-11-13
The HealthSpot Station telehealth system was designed to let patients avoid a visit to the doctor’s office, providing a quick medical diagnosis while reducing the potential spread of germs.

The HealthSpot station consists of a kiosk outfitted with a variety of diagnostic tools, including a scale, stethoscope, blood pressure monitor and dermascope. Following the doctor’s directions, the patient uses the instruments on himself to allow the remote doctor to gather information on the symptoms and make a diagnosis. The data is automatically uploaded to the HealthSpot servers, becoming part of the patient’s electronic medical records. Once the visit is complete, an assistant tidies up the area and makes sure the unit is sanitized.

A few HealthSpot kiosks are already being tested in California and states in the Midwest.
