A new biometric tool relies on Doppler radar to identify a person by their heart.
The technology, from a team at the University of Buffalo, consists of low-level Doppler radar that monitors the shape and size of the heart. The heart’s dimensions can be determined in only eight seconds, and since every heart is unique, the technology offers a secure way to identify a person continuously, with no body contact at all.
