A new line of exercise smart clothing from HeartBit promises to track heart rate with medical-grade accuracy.
Designed for use while exercising, the wearable fits into a training top, where it records the electrical signals of the beating heart. The device is able to process 10,000 data points per second (compared to the one to two data points of conventional trackers), using the data and machine learning to build an individualized heart profile and offer training plans. The large amounts of data are managed with the help of IBM’s Watson and Cloud services.
