Hexo+ Drone Films the Action Automatically

Jul-04-14 Designed for active sports enthusiasts, the Hexo+ drone takes GoPros to new heights by automatically following the subject at a steady distance and angle.

The Hexo+ drone is completely automatic and requires no secondary operator. The shot is framed by using a smartphone to set the follow distance for the drone and from what angle the filming should focus (side, front, back, etc.) Once the settings have been sent to the Hexo+, it will take off automatically and hover in the specified position—ready to follow the user by tracking the paired phone with the help of GPS along with image recognition software and an array of algorithms.

The Hexo+ has already far exceeded its funding goal on Kickstarter.
