Hoope Ring Diagnoses STDs

Hoope Ring Diagnoses STDs
Aug-24-15
The Hoope ring can diagnose sexually transmitted diseases in less than a minute, allowing individuals to monitor their health while avoiding a visit to a clinic.

Many people who are at risk for STDs do not go to clinics as they should because of the associated stigma. The thumb-worn Hoope ring, with its built in needle and lab-on-a-chip, offers a more private option. The ring is equipped with a single-use retractable needle that pops into place at the press of a button, and a pulse generator to numb the skin and ease the discomfort of the needle prick. Once the blood has been collected, it flows through a system of microfliuidic channels that will capture any antibodies linked to the targeted disease, causing an electrochemical reaction that will trigger the device to send the diagnosis to a paired smartphone.

Although, your current design is very streamlined and practical, (respectfully) from a ascetic viewpoint it is very clinical and sterile in appearance. I would recommend adding a Gold/Silver Smith with CAD experience to your team.
