Hot Glue Gun Injects Wound-Healing Glue

Jun-13-19 An innovative glue gun injects a biocompatible glue directly into wounds to reduce scarring and speed healing.

The biocompatible glue was developed by a team from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology using four‐armed N‐hydroxy succinimide‐modified polycaprolactone, a soft, solid material that melts at low temperatures. The healing glue can be applied directly into the wound using the gun also created by the team, where it will harden and then decompose over a few weeks after the wound has healed.
