IceVolt 300 Keeps Food Cold with Less Power

IceVolt 300 Keeps Food Cold with Less Power
Jan-11-20
Designed to help reduce food waste in tropical areas, the IceVolt 300 fridge from Coolfinity can keep foods and beverages cool off the grid for up to two days.

The IceVolt 300 relies on a thermal sink of frozen water that slowly releases its cold as needed. Though not a new idea, the IceVolt is the first large commercial cooler to use the technology. The fridge’s system needs only six hours of power to freeze enough water to offer cooling for up to 48 hours without power.

In addition to keeping foods cold, the IceVolt 300 could also help preserve medications, even in hot areas with inconsistent power.
