Injectable Drug Helps Heal Bone Fractures

Injectable Drug Helps Heal Bone Fractures
Feb-24-18
An injectable drug combination from the startup Novosteo Inc. could help speed bone fracture healing.

Founded by a father and son team from Purdue University, Novosteo’s new concept differs from current bone-healing boosters in that it can be administered to the patient by injection. According to the team, the drug will move throughout the body but “only accumulate at the fracture site,” which avoids the side-effects and risks associated with potent drugs.

The Novosteo drug is still in the preclinical drug testing stage, and the team plans to focus their initial research on hip fractures in the elderly.

Hi,
It is really good news. I am an Orthopedic Surgeon since more than 25 ys. I am working now in a hospital near a rural area. I noticed in the last few years that many of my patients got there fractures healing in much shorter times than that known or recorded. I investigated the cause & discovered that they have a tradition for fractured personals to drink a type of natural plant called (Sereaw). I do not know exactly the nature of such dry green leave material but it is fantastic with a real rapid healing of fractures ( conservative or operative treated ) with a nil delayed or non union.
If you are interested to help me to discover what is behind this material let me know .
Regards.
