The morphable seat from Jaguar Land Rover keeps you comfortable on long drives by moving the seat to simulate the sensation of walking.
The seat is equipped with a set of actuators embedded in the foam that move in increments, causing the hips to shift slightly and the brain to believe the body is walking. According to Jaguar Land Rover, this ‘pelvic oscillation’ could help reduce the health risks associated with sitting too long, and could also help ease back pain.
Especially simulated walking without moving legs would be necessary to bed patients. Special trousers might stimulate nerves and simultaneously impact physically. VR-glasses might increase the effect. Posted by Uolevi Kattun on January 23, 2020
