LoCoMoGo has created a new type of train that teaches kids aged four to twelve how to code through play.
A tape which acts as the train's track, is placed on a surface in any shape. Each train car is a different color and provides a different function. For example, the red car (the engine) follows the track, while the blue car adds basic if-then coding logic and the green car adds acceleration.
LoCoMoGo teaches kids the basics of drag-and-drop coding all the way up to programming in C, adding new games and challenges with each car that is added.
I just pre-ordered mine on Kickstarter! You can find them here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/locomogo/locomogo-train-learn-coding-through-play?ref=5nxosj Posted by James Frederick on March 1, 2020
Good blog. I think blogs like this are useful to all to understand the benefits of coding for kids. Nowadays there are various coding platforms for kids like codingforkid.com (https://www.codingforkid.com/) that offers the best coding courses for kids. Posted by Annet Rose on October 15, 2020
