Lego-Friendly Prosthetic Designed for Kids

Lego-Friendly Prosthetic Designed for Kids
Jul-10-15
A Lego-like prosthetic for kids helps the young users build confidence by adding their own attachments to the artificial limb.

Developed by Carlos Arturo Torres Tovar of the Umeå University in Sweden, the artificial limb features a modular, twist and lock design that makes it easy for kids to change attachments. The system also includes a three-finger gripper made of Legos, which helps make the device less intimidating and more fun.
