LifeLeaf Wearable Monitors Glucose Levels

LifeLeaf Wearable Monitors Glucose Levels
May-18-18
The LifeLeaf smartwatch from LifePlus is the first wearable, non-invasive glucose monitor.

Currently undergoing clinical trials, the LifeLeaf monitors blood glucose levels via its patent-pending, optical sensor technology, Photo-PlethysmoGraph. The technology involves a specialized algorithm that is better able to determine glucose levels in the blood using light gathered by existing sensors. In addition to monitoring glucose levels, the LifeLeaf will also track other health parameters, including heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.

The LifePlus company designed the LifeLeaf as an example of the technology, and hopes to license the software to other hardware manufacturers, such as Fossil.
