Logosease Lets Scuba Divers Communicate Underwater

Logosease Lets Scuba Divers Communicate Underwater
Nov-16-12
The Logosease dive transceiver from Casio allows scuba divers to communicate underwater without the need for expensive, specialized masks.

The pocket-sized transceiver uses bone conduction technologies to pick up the diver’s words and ultrasound to transmit those words to Logosease transceivers worn by the other divers. The sound waves are played back as speech via the unit’s bone conduction speakers and the “built-in digital speech conversion technology” will help to correct garbled speech. Divers can switch between transmission and reception modes by tapping the unit.

According to the manufacturers, the device will allow communication between divers within visual range of each other.
