LynQ Keeps Track of Friends in the Wild--or the Festival
May-18-18
The handy LynQ device lets people find their friends outdoors, with no cell reception required.

The LynQ unit is equipped with GPS, long-range/low-power radio and an antenna that allows the device to constantly track the location of the user. Up to twelve LynQ devices can be paired at once, simply by placing them next to each other and selecting the group size. Once paired, the units will share coordinates via a private network with a radius of up to three miles. The location data is displayed on an e-ink screen, which saves battery, and is easy to follow—displaying the distance to the chosen person as a line that acts as an arrow indicator to show which direction they are located.
