MamaOpe Smart Jacket Detects Pneumonia

MamaOpe Smart Jacket Detects Pneumonia
Feb-01-18
Developed for children in rural and impoverished areas, the MamaOpe smart jacket system can detect pneumonia and reduce the chances of misdiagnosis.

Designed for children ages 0-5 living in sub-Saharan Africa, the prototype MamaOpe vest is worn by the patient, where it monitors their breathing rate, temperature, and sound of their lungs. Because many cases of pneumonia are incorrectly identified as malaria, asthma or tuberculosis, the vest helps to prevent misdiagnosis and ensures early and proper treatment.
