Max Motor Dreams Cot Mimics Car Rides for Fussy Babies

Max Motor Dreams Cot Mimics Car Rides for Fussy Babies
Apr-08-17
The Max Motor Dreams cot from Ford simulates the feel of the family car to help put babies to sleep.

Most parents are aware that fussy babies can be put to sleep by riding in a car. However, that remedy requires that the parent is awake enough to drive. To help let all family members get enough sleep, the Max Motor Dreams cot pairs with an app, which records the vibrations and sound of the family’s actual car. That information is then used to ensure the cot delivers the same sort of experience, with gentle rocking, engine noise, and even a smooth flow of lights on the sides of the cot that mimic streetlights.

The Max Motor Dreams cot was originally designed primarily as an advertising campaign, but the company says consumer interest may drive it into production.
