The innovative Digital Light headlights for the Mercedes Maybach project information onto the road ahead.The smart headlights work via a digital projector and onboard sensors to automatically adjust their brightness and distance in front of the car. The sensors on the car will also detect potential issues, such as pedestrians, narrow lanes, or imminent collisions, to project a corresponding warning symbol in front of the vehicle.

Are there twilight compasses or GPSs, which use aimed laser or light to project the wanted direction to hikers? This application would also guide to waypoints or safe routes set by rescue personnel.
