Mesh Wrap Heals Nerve Injuries

Mar-01-17 An innovative new nerve-wrap mesh could offer a new way to treat nerve injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome.

Developed by a team of Japanese researchers, the mesh is made up of biodegradable plastic that has been imbedded with vitamin B12 (proven to help nerve regeneration). The mesh is surgically implanted to wrap around the injured nerves, holding them together as the B12 is slowly released to help speed healing.
