Mictic Wearable Body Instrument

Mictic Wearable Body Instrument
The Mictic body instrument invention detects the wearer’s gestures to transform movement into sound, offering an immersive new way to experience music.

The Mictic system relies on a pair of Bluetooth-enabled wristbands equipped with accelerometers that track the wearer’s motions and transmit the data to a companion app and paired smartphone. The app then translates the motion into sound, with choices ranging from drums and electronica to a piano or cello. Up to four Mictics can be paired to a single smartphone, with a full charge lasting about four hours.
