MightySat Rx Measures Breathing Rate from a Fingertip

MightySat Rx Measures Breathing Rate from a Fingertip
Feb-03-19
The tiny MightySat Rx from Masimo can measure respiration rate from a fingertip and can be used in a variety of settings.

Recently receiving FDA clearance, the MightySat Rx stands out from its counterparts in that it is more affordable than most devices and is not limited to bedridden patients. The tidy little device weighs less than 100 grams, including the two AAA batteries, and relies on Masimo’s Respiration Rate from the Pleth (RRp) to measure breathing rate as well as pulse rate, oxygen saturation, perfusion index and Pleth Variability Index. The readings are displayed on the color screen and can be transmitted via Bluetooth to the Masimo Professional Health app for online sharing.
