Mogees Makes Any Surface a Musical Interface

Mogees Makes Any Surface a Musical Interface
Jan-10-12
The Mogees contact microphone turns any surface into a musical interface able to produce a wide array of sounds.

Developed by Bruno Zamborlin as part of his PhD project, Mogees (Mosaicing Gestural Surface) can transform touch stimuli into a variety of sounds by picking up the contact vibrations. The vibrations can be converted directly into sound or can be used to trigger an audio sample from a database.

The playing surface does not have to be smooth, and the device can pick up vibrations generated by a variety of sources.
