Nanofilter Traps Pollutants, Lets In Air

Nanofilter Traps Pollutants, Lets In Air
Mar-24-17
Researchers have created a nanofilter able to block airborne pollutants and UV rays while still allowing air circulation and natural light.

Developed by a team from the National University of Singapore, the filter features an organic molecule created by the team from the chemical compound phthalocyanine. The molecules formed a nanofiber structure, which was then spread on mesh and left to dry. The result was a thin, transparent filter able to trap harmful particles and block UV rays, while still letting in air and light.
