Nanollose Fabric Made from Bio-Waste

Nanollose Fabric Made from Bio-Waste
May-24-18
The eco-friendly fabric from Nanollose offers a sustainable alternative to rayon materials made from plants like trees and cotton.

Instead of common, land- and water-intensive materials such as cotton, the Nanollose fabric is made from coconut industry bio-waste. This organic waste is converted by microbes into cellulose, which is then used to create fibers called Nullarbor. According to the team, their proprietary process takes less than a month, and could also be used to convert other types of biomass waste into usable fibers, including materials from the beer, wine and liquid food industries.
