Ninja Sphere Offers Outstanding Home Connectivity

Ninja Sphere Offers Outstanding Home Connectivity
Dec-27-13
The Ninja Sphere offers a whole new level of home-connectivity by making it easier than ever to add household devices to the Internet of Things.

Already vastly exceeding its funding on Kickstarter, the Ninja Sphere goes beyond monitoring and providing remote control of devices; it also uses data from its sensors to create a model that will inform the homeowner if something is usual or out of place. Created by Ninja Blocks, the company that developed the wireless, remote-controlled sensors of the same name, the Ninja Sphere can work in conjunction with multiple Spheramids to form a wireless network. This allows the system to monitor BLE signals to create a digital 3D model of the environment and recognize when devices are out of place.

The system is compatible with a wide array of drivers, including Bluetooth, Philips Hue and Wi-Fi, and is also open source, making it available to third party developers.
