No More Woof Dog-Thought Translator

Dec-20-13 No More Woof is being touted as the first device to translate animal thoughts into human language.

Although still in the concept stage, No More Woof has already exceeded its funding goal on Indiegogo. The headset is equipped with EEG recorders, a small Raspberry Pi computer and a loudspeaker, which allows it to read the “ionic current flows” in the dog’s brain and then translate them into English. According to the developers, the less expensive model can translate three thoughts (hungry, tired and curious), while the more expensive model will offer a wider range of communications. Currently the device only translates the thoughts into English, but French, Spanish and Mandarin versions are also in development.

No word yet on any versions for cats, whose thoughts would probably be "Please get this thing off my head."
