NovaMeat Produces the First 3D Printed Plant-Based "Meat"
Mar-10-20
By finely tuning the structure of plant-based proteins at a microscopic level, NovaMeat has created the world's first 3D-printed plant-based beef steak that looks just like the real thing.

Their first version of the meat substitute had achieved the proper texture, and now the correct appearance benchmark has been met. The next step is to perfect the taste and nutritional value.

They plan on having their steaks in supermarkets later this year and will start installing machines commercially next year. Each machine is capable of printing 10 kg of steak per hour in the "cut" the client desires: sirloin, fillet, etc.
