Onyx Offers Hands-Free Communication

Onyx Offers Hands-Free Communication
Feb-20-16
Designed for hands-free use, the Onyx promises to extend the phone by offering a new method of voice communication.

Developed by Orion Labs, the Onyx is a push-to-talk wearable device that has been optimistically compared to the communicator badges in Star Trek. First released in 2014, and met with success, the device has been upgraded to focus more on the consumer market, and includes longer battery life, a smaller size, and supports Bluetooth Low Energy. The Onyx will also feature end-to-end encryption, and a new clip allows it to be attached to more objects, such as a necklace or purse.
