Owlet Sock Tracks Baby's Breathing

Owlet Sock Tracks Baby's Breathing
Oct-22-15
The Owlet helps nervous parents sleep through the night by monitoring their infant’s heartbeat and breathing and sending an alert if anything is amiss.

Contained inside a soft, cozy sock, the Owlet kit is made up of a monitor that fits in the sock and communicates with a monitor in the Owlet base stations. The sock monitor tracks the baby’s breathing and pulse via pulse oximetry, the same technique used in hospitals, and transmits the data to the base station via Bluetooth. If the baby’s vitals reach dangerous levels, the system will send an alert to the paired device as well as sound an alarm from the base station.
