Conceived by Julie Adams after a day of skiing, the boots are made from a water-resistant, ripstop material and feature a rubber outsole, EVA midsole and one-handed lacing. The boots pack flat, weighing just 15 oz., can be reduced to only 2 inches thick, making them easy to carry in a backpack or large coat pocket. The Pakems could also be useful to anyone who wears specialized shoes for certain situations, such as hikers or office workers on their commute to the office.
