Parterre Surfaces Chauffantes Individual Heated Zones

Parterre Surfaces Chauffantes Individual Heated Zones
Sep-29-18
The innovative Parterre Surfaces Chauffantes creates heated zones, saving resources by eliminating the need to heat an entire space.

Inspired by the Japanese tradition of heating the body instead of rooms, the Parterre Surfaces Chauffantes were designed to be attractive enough to integrate fully into the home décor. The heated objects were created using a specialized digital embroidery machine able to embed a heating wire into the textile in an attractive pattern. The resulting material could be used as a rug, draped over a chair, or even hung on the wall to add a zone of heat.

The Parterre Surfaces Chauffantes recently received a James Dyson Award.
