PeakBoil Stove Works in High Winds

PeakBoil Stove Works in High Winds
Aug-03-18
The 3D-printed PeakBoil camp stove can cook efficiently even in high winds.

Developed by a student team from ETH Zurich, the PeakPoil stove’s unique shape was created using additive manufacturing. The stove fits within a kettle jug, where a gas line feeds fuel to the Venturi nozzles to heat the center chamber. The thin walls of the chamber are rippled, which the team says increases the contact area between the flame and the jug, allowing the contents to be warmed quickly while protected from the wind.
