Platio Solar Panels Let Pavements Draw Energy

Jul-20-17 The Platio solar panels can be installed in benches and paving, offering on-the-go charging to city dwellers.

The modular Platio panels were developed by a Budapest startup of the same name, and are finally seeing the light of day. The sturdy panels are made of recycled materials and are already equipped with the wiring and components needed for installation. The panels have been installed near a shopping mall, and more recently on benches where people can sit and recharge USB and Qi-compatible devices.
