PneuChair Doesn't Mind the Weather

PneuChair Doesn't Mind the Weather
Apr-11-17
The innovative, waterproof PneuChair relies on compressed air to ferry its users through wet areas.

The powered wheelchair was designed by a team at the University of Pittsburgh for use at Morgan’s Wonderland, a theme park for people with physical disabilities. The PneuChair was created for use in the new splash park, and replaces the batteries and onboard electronics with compressed air tanks and a simple design.

Although the PneuChair has a relatively short range, it can be recharged in only ten minutes from a standard air compressor.
