The nanopatch delivers the vaccine via its array of tiny needles that reach just below the surface of the skin. This allows the vaccine to be provided in smaller doses, since a syringe is not required, as well as more efficiently. The nanopatch also relies on a dry vaccine, which is much easier to transport and distribute in remote and impoverished areas.
