PolySmooth Offers Smooth and Sleek 3D Printing

PolySmooth Offers Smooth and Sleek 3D Printing
Apr-25-16
The innovative PolySmooth 3D printing material “self-polishes” to create a smoother, more even final result.

Created by Polymaker, a Chinese startup, the PolySmooth material can be used in any standard 3D printer, and is meant to be used in conjunction with the Polysher, which finalizes the look. Objects printed with the PolySmooth first look like normal 3D-printed materials, with the expected ridges and sharp edges. However, once the object is placed in the Polysher, it will be subjected to a fine mist of either isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which will cause the surface of the PolySmooth PVB material to melt and become smooth.
