Power Flower Visual Energy Meter

Oct-10-12 The Power Flower encourages homeowners to become more aware of power usage by wilting when too much energy is being consumed.

Developed by a pair of university students from the UK, the smart energy meter prototype connects wirelessly to the home energy meter to reflect energy usage by changes in its position and amount of light emitted. A large amount of energy consumption will cause the flower to droop and dim, while lower energy usage will see the flower lifting upright and shining brightly.
