The Project DR system projects medical data directly onto the patient’s skin, remaining accurate even as the person moves.
Being developed by a team at the University of Alberta, the Project DR technology relies on a projector, infrared cameras, and strategically placed markers to project the patient’s MRI or CT data images onto the skin. The projected images can track properly even as the patient moves, which opens the door to an array of applications including physiotherapy, teaching, and surgical planning.
Might some patients benefit if that data, especially viscera, would be painted on skin for own follow-up and to simulate cure at work? Posted by Uolevi Kattun on January 31, 2018
