QTrobot Teaches Autistic Children Social Skills

QTrobot Teaches Autistic Children Social Skills
Aug-16-18
The QTrobot from LuxAI helps children with autism learn the social skills they need to interact successfully with other people.

Designed to be used as part of the child’s treatment program, the two-foot-tall QTrobot features a humanoid body and a screen for its face. It will display facial expressions while also gesturing with its body, helping the child learn social cues by simplifying them and performing them exactly the same way every time—which is particularly important for children with autism.

In addition, during studies the QTrobot intrigued the children so that they tended to interact with the therapist more, asking questions or talking about the robot.
