Redux Technology Puts the Speaker in the Screen

The Redux technology converts the phone's touchscreen to a high-quality speaker, eliminating the need for conventional exposed speakers. This is accomplished via an array of “micro-speaker” actuators placed beneath the touchscreen, which produce “bending waves” to deliver a robust sound.

In addition to sound, the Redux technology also offers haptic feedback able to simulate a range of physical button activies, resulting in a potentially speakerless, buttonless smartphone.
