A new method of regrowing teeth using lasers offers a ground-breaking treatment that could have other applications.The technique, from a team at Harvard University, is significant in that it offers a degree of precision when manipulating stem cells—something that has escaped other researchers. Using low-powered lasers, the team was able to coax stem cells in the body to regenerate dentin, with the results in both human and animal models proving optimistic.
