The Rescue Aid device guides the rescuer through proper chest compressions to help increase the likelihood of resuscitation.

Created by the team at Fraunhofer and University of Applied Science, the Rescue Aid is made up of a lightweight mat embedded with silicon deformation sensors. The mat is placed on the victim’s chest, where the sensors will detect the amount of force being applied and indicate the correct pressure with a green LED.
