Resero XV Releases Snowboard Bindings in an Avalanche

Resero XV Releases Snowboard Bindings in an Avalanche
Feb-15-17
Designed for backcountry snowboarders, the Resero XV system will automatically release the board’s bindings in the event of an avalanche.

When a snowboarder is swept up in an avalanche, the board that once had them skimming over the snow becomes an anchor, pulling the rider under the avalanche with up to three tons of force.

With this danger in mind, the Resero X system includes a wireless transmitter worn on the torso that communicates with a receiver/activator module on the snowboard. If the rider is caught in an avalanche, pulling a handle on the transmitter will trigger the bindings to release, reducing their chances of getting trapped in the snow.
